On October 9th, 2011 former Beatle Paul McCartney exchanged wedding vows with American heiress Nancy Shevell at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall. in the days immediately following the ceremony we got a ton of queries about the Champagne Sir Paul and Lady McCartnery selected for their wedding. The toasting beverage chosen was not a glitzy luxury Champagne as one might expect (Paul poured Roederer Cristal at his prior marriage to Heather Mills) but a modestly priced Champagne from Dumangin. It is a deftly crafted Champagne with exceedingly fresh aromas and flavors of citrus, dough and apples that are rounded out with subtle flourishes of nougat and brioche in the finish.
